The RootEd Collective
Our Vision
The RootEd Collective is a community of scholars founded in 2020.
We believe that education should be deeply connected to community, justice, and transformative change. Our research interrogates the systems, policies, and practices that shape K-12 and higher education. Our work centers the resilience and brilliance of historically marginalized communities and reimagines education as a space for liberation, opportunity, and belonging.
The RootEd Collective is made up of scholars, educators, and professionals committed to cultivating knowledge that grows from and for the communities we serve. Our work is nourished by the wisdom of our participants, the strength of collective action, and the urgency of the present moment. We seek to plant new possibilities, strengthening the foundations of education for future generations.
